Individual Therapy
60 minute or 90 minute sessions
Individual therapy is a confidential and collaborative process where together we address areas of concern using various evidence and research-based modalities. Personal goals vary from client to client, but general goals in the therapeutic setting might be to learn more about oneself, to address problematic behaviors or thinking patterns, to develop healthy strategies to cope with stress, to explore adverse childhood experiences, or to reprocess traumatic events.
I provide in-person and online therapy sessions for residents of Tennessee and have experience working with clients of all ages, but I specialize in working with clients 18 years and older. Sessions are scheduled at a frequency that each client feels is most supportive to their health and well-being. I offer 50 minute and 80 minute individual therapy sessions in person and online. I provide a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation if you'd like to speak with me to determine if we would be a good fit for your specific needs.

Since I am considered an "out of network" provider, I do not work with insurance companies at this time. All sessions are private pay. Upon request, I can provide you a Super Bill that you may submit to your insurance provider as a claim for possible reimbursement. Each individual's plan is different and I cannot guarantee your insurance company's response. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale fee spots, please inquire for more details about these options.

According to the American Psychological Association, “on average 15 to 20 sessions are required for 50 percent of patients to recover as indicated by self-reported symptom measures”. Additionally, they state that through the working relationship between the client and counselor sometimes the preference is for “longer periods (e.g., 20 to 30 sessions over six months), to achieve more complete symptom remission and to feel confident in the skills needed to maintain treatment gains”. Read More
